Approximately 18 km off the Al Batinah coast, northwest of Muscat, the Daymaniat Islands form a marine nature reserve made up of 9 small islands.

Environmental Significance:

A vital nesting site for green sea turtles and home to rich coral reefs and migratory birds, the islands are a protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
