Wadi Damm
Wadi Damm, Western Hajar Mountains
Tucked deep in the Western Hajar Mountains, Wadi Damm offers a unique wild camping experience. We weren’t sure at first if it deserved a spot on our list, but it won us over thanks to its surroundings.
The Setting
- Camp directly on the wadi bed, framed by blue-grey cliffs rising high on either side.
- Palm trees line the edges, adding a splash of greenery to the rugged scene.
- Unfortunately, the beauty is marred slightly by piles of rubbish bags left behind by careless visitors.
Why Camp Here?
- While the campsite itself may not be the most pristine, the attractions around Wadi Damm make it worth the stop.
- Its location in the Hajar Mountains provides access to dramatic landscapes, traditional villages, and scenic drives.
